A dispatcher needs to manage today's routes but should not be able to change billing settings or delete historical data. Five default roles provide structured access: Admin (full access), Manager (operations and analytics), Operator (route management and dispatch), Customer Support (task visibility and customer interaction), and Warehouse Operator (warehouse operations view only). Team-based access restrictions limit users to seeing only their assigned team's drivers and tasks. Courier operations can restrict depot dispatchers to their own depot's routes. For wholesale operations, customer-facing roles provide reporting access without exposing route costs or driver details.
